What is EFT Tapping
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and can also be known that tapping thing. It is a combination of acupressure and modern psychology, also known as Energy Psychology.
It is very simple and can look a little strange, so simple in fact, that many claim that it cannot work, which makes me wonder why some believe things must be complicated to be effective!
EFT has been around for approximately 25 years and uses acupuncture/acupressure points on the face, hands and upper body which are stimulated by lightly tapping with the fingers. It is often referred to as “An Emotional Version of Acupuncture, Without the Needles”.
It is one of the fastest growing techniques and is being used all over the world in schools and hospitals, by ‘A’ list celebrities, top sports professionals and by some governments as an effective treatment for depression. Clinical trials are proving EFT to be very effective, over and over.
What EFT does is to return the body back to its natural balanced state, based on the idea that all dis-ease is as a result of the body being out of balance.
One of the amazing things about EFT is that you can easily be taught how to use the more simpler aspects yourself, which allows you to manage how you feel on the spot, and puts you firmly in control.

The difference between of EFT & Tapping
From my lengthy experience I have found there are two sides to EFT & Tapping:-
- Tapping, and
- Emotional Freedom
Briefly put, Tapping itself can help with the on the spot, in the moment distress, where you want to change how you feel then and there, but not go into the emotional details, such as if you are about to do a public talk or get on a flight.
Emotional Freedom Techniques, uses Tapping to rebalance the body, and to help find the cause of the distress to make a more permanent change. This may, or may not, involve discovering a limiting belief. Emotional Freedom Techniques incorporates methods to safely navigate the seas of energetic and emotional turbulence.
All this work is done in or on the physical body.

What is Matrix Reimprinting
Matrix Reimprinting was founded in 2006 by Karl Dawson, who was one of the original 29 EFT Masters.
It came about when he was using EFT with a client on a previous event that may have contributed to her distress, when she said that she could see her younger self so clearly, she could almost tap on her, from that Matrix Reimprinting was born.
Although Matrix Reimprinting still uses tapping, it is a huge advancement on EFT in that, to a great extent, there is an element of dis-association, which means that the work is largely done in the energy field imagining tapping on the image of the younger self, while still tapping on the distress felt in the physical body, while being fully guided and supported by me.
What happens in a session
The same applies for both EFT-Tapping and Matrix Reimprinting.
Initially I would ask you to complete my brief Intake Form prior to your first session. This gives me a little background on your situation and what you want to achieve.
These sessions are usually conducted in a seated & fully clothed position. You can either tap for yourself, following me, or, with your permission I can tap on you. There are benefits to both, by tapping on yourself you can experience a sense of self-empowerment and learn how to manage things outside of my practise. With me tapping on you directly, it allows you to focus deeper on the distress.
We will have a brief chat about what we are tapping for and during tapping I may suggest some wording to use to represent the situation, but would always ask for your confirmation of that being the correct expression.
At the start of the session you would rate the intensity in whichever way is appropriate to you, high, medium or low, or from 0 – 10 (10 being high) etc. After a few rounds of tapping we re-evaluate the intensity and any changes that have occurred in any way, and then begin another round.
During this time I am monitoring and guiding you while having your safety and best interests at heart.
Costs and how to book
I prefer the term investment as you are making a huge investment in your own health and wellbeing, although there are some that ask what you might pay to be free from the issue you would like help with.
I make a charge on a per individual session basis of $95 (NZD) for a single session of between 1 – 1.25 hours, with a discount for booking 3 sessions at $250.
